Heading 1
It is my hope to leverage my experience in healthcare philanthropy and organizational leadership to bring tangible value to Kingdom Parterns Group clients.
Helping nonprofits in this Valley to secure funding to carry out their vital missions, witnessing firsthand every day the impact these organizations make as the lead pastor of a church here in Fresno, is a calling that I could not pass up when Rob invited me to join his team.
In more than a decade of nonprofit fundraising, I was blessed with opportunities to increase organizational fundraising capacity by creating systems that improved prospect identification and donor management and optimized revenue streams. Serving as Rob’s deputy, we increased a healthcare philanthropy organization’s annual fundraising from $6.2 million to $29.6 million in a nine-year period. I have experience in both private and government grant funding acquisition, having raised more than $30 million through grants; oversaw a cause marketing fundraising operation that more than doubled in five years; increased direct mail revenue by 88% in three years; and managed a planned giving program that generated more than $35 million in revenue over an eight-year period.
Outside of nonprofit fundraising, I am blessed with the chance to serve our community as the lead pastor of Fresno First Church of the Nazarene. I am a retired lieutenant colonel with 21 years of service in the United States Army and Army Reserve with overseas service in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, and Africa as a logistics officer. I have been a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan since 2013. I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics from Fresno State, a master’s of operational studies from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, a Master of Arts in pastoral ministry from Northwest Nazarene University, and a juris doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. My wife, Mei, and I have been married since 2004, and we have two children: Carissa (18) and Joshua (15).
